| FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What if I have questions about I dress I want to order, or regarding an order already placed? I work primarily alone, occassionally with one helper. I simply do not trust myself to organize information communicated by phone. I've discovered that it is much more efficient for me to keep all information regarding order indexed by email, rather than to trust myself to make a note of information received on the phone. That DOES NOT mean I will not talk to you on the phone. If you need a phone consult, let me know, and I'll oblige. Also, phone numbers are printed on the order forms, so if you simply must communicate by phone, it is not impossible, just not desireable. My day is completely taken up by my sewing, pattern making, cutting, folding, boxing, fabric ordering, shipping, and all more. If I have to stop every few minutes to answer the phone, I get little else accomplished. How long does it take to receive a dress once ordered? That varies, it depends on a variety of factors, most especially the dress itself and the time place your order. Current turnover time is ranging from 6-8 weeks. For this reason we urge you to inquire to be sure that your deadline can be met. What if I need my dress sooner? You should inquire first. I do rush orders if possible, but ask before you order. Much depends on what dress you are ordering, fabric, etc.....Please do not take that to mean I actually rush the work on your dress, I simply work longer hours to work your dress into work already in progress. There may be extra charges associated with a rush order, depending on the circumstances, so be sure to inquire. Are the gowns returnable? No.. I correct any defect in workmanship, fit, or materials should one be found, but a custom gown is NOT returnable. Some very bad apples have spoiled the bunch for everyone and I have had to modify policies. I want to elaborate here because the policy may seem quite strict and extreme. Some customers do not understand what is clearly stated here, custom gowns do not deliver quickly. It is a gown cut and sewn to one persons measurements, and thus I cannot take advantage or "mass production" sewing techniques. It is a time consuming process, and I always have a backlog. More on that later. Also, some customers order a dress, well knowing that they are merely shopping. They expect to be able to try the dress on, THEN decide if they want to pay for it, much the way you'd do when shopping a store in a mall. These few people will then threaten with filing a claim with the BBB, or initiating a chargeback on their credit card. A few years back I decided that I would not be bullied by those irresponsible customers. You see, when a dress is being custom made for you, you've entered into a contractual agreement with that company, and that should not be done on a whim. You wouldn't expect to work hours and hours and hours for a specific person, on a specific job, and then let them decide if they really want the job done at all. Neither do I. Some of you may not be willing to commit yourselves to a custom arrangement, and for those of you who are not, I suggest you look elsewhere for your gown. Can I request changes for my gown? For instance, sleeves of one dress, combined with skirting of another? Possibly. It really depends on the dress in question. As long as all components are from a design currently on the site, we will consider your request. I have seen a dress elsewhere, and wondered if your company could duplicate it? No, we only sell our own designs I have designed my own dress, could your company make it for me? Possibly. I look at these on a case by case basis. What happens if my dress doesn't fit? Send it back and I will alter it...though all my gowns have been designed especially for ease of fit, and in 8 years that has happened exact 5 times. That's out of hundreds of dresses. What if I get my dress and it just looks dreadful on me? Special occassion clothing suffers greatly from wear and return scam, so we cannot offer refunds. But, as long as your garment has not been worn, we will allow you to exchange for an item of equal value. Does your company ship INTERNATIONALLY? Yes, though the shipping charges will be an additional 20.00 above what you are charged at check out. You can either add that in when paying, or we can send you an invoice for the additional funds. I am planning for my wedding, if I purchase several dresses for instance for my bridesmaids, is there a group discount? Yes, on some dresses we are able to offer discounts on quantity purchases..Inquire with us for more details. *if the gowns you are interested in ordering are already on sale, they cannot be further reduced, even with quantity ordering.
